Friendship Ambassadors

WHAT IS AN ANTI-BULLYING AMBASSADOR?
  1. Someone who is passionate about preventing bullying and works to stop it eg, by holding days in school which promote kindness, and telling people where they can go if they’re being bullied.
  2. Someone who cares about others and keeps an eye out for their peers/classmates/friends.
  3. Someone who is friendly and approachable and willing to listen to others problems and provide support to them.
  4. Someone who actively works to show people that bullying is uncool.
WHY WE DO THIS?
Ben's Story by Caroline and Paul Vodden

On the 12th of December 2006, their 11 year old son Ben, took his own life due to school bullying.

Ben’s parents want to see trained Anti-Bullying Ambassadors in schools.

Here at Avonwood we have what we call Friendship Ambassadors, as the children themselves have said;

‘We are very lucky to have a nice school where there is no bullying, our friendship ambassadors help it stay that way’

Our Friendship Ambassadors are:

Rohan

Bo

Zach

Eva-Lorrin
