Students are allowed to use them at break and lunchtime as we want to develop responsible use. They may also be used in class, with the teacher's permission, as part of the learning process.
The extract below is taken from the ICT Acceptable Use Policy and is for information;
Mobile phones should be switched off in lessons and assemblies unless for a specific learning activity as sanctioned by the class teacher or for a personal reason as sanctioned by PH, LC or class teacher.
Inappropriate use of mobile phones will result in confiscation and parents will have to come into school to collect them.
Mobile phones must not be taken into examinations. They should be either left at home or placed in lockers.
Electronic items such as mobile phones and mp3 players are the owner’s responsibility and brought to school at their own risk. The school will not investigate lost or stolen items.
